Book Review:
The title of the book is empowering. The very first glimpse can catch your absolute attention. I always wanted to experience the work of Amish Tripathi and was awed by the book.
We all are aware of the great stories of Sita filled with honor and pride. We have seen it on Indian television in different forms and formats. Some of us have heard stories from our parents, relatives, and friends.
Before reading the book, I would like to suggest not to compare it with our respected Hindu religious text. This book is a creative work having an imaginary plot with real mythological characters. I enjoyed the book as my only intent was to relish the fiction stories with a creative mindset.
The first chapter gave me goosebumps, and I was excited to read more. I could feel the power of the creative writing by Amish. His effective writing firmly held me throughout the book.
There was a point when Sunaina (Sita’s mother) came to meet Sita in her gurukul. The conversation between them made me emotional. I could sense the bond and abundance of love shared. The valuable life lessons preached by her mother during the last moments of her life were empowering.
