Plot Synopsis:
The Fault in Our Stars is a story about Hazel Grace, a girl suffering from thyroid cancer. At a very tender age of thirteen, her health problem was diagnosed. Now that she is sixteen and her mom assumes that she has no social life and is depressed. So, after a lot of persistence, she convinced her to join a weekly Support Group.
The Support Group sat in the basement of the church, where all the young cancer survivors gathered. So, Hazel met Augustus here in the heart of the church. They connected and instantly liked each other.
Augustus was seventeen and had Osteosarcoma a year ago. In no time, Hazel’s life was completely changed as she met Augustus. Also, her perspective towards life too changed. They started understanding each other and sharing more often conversations.
Hazel suggested Augustus to read her favorite book An Imperial Affliction, which she read a million times. Also, wanted to check his feelings and opinion about the book. As recommended by Hazel, Augustus also read the book and kind of liked it too.
Hazel was crazy about the book and the author. One fine day she receives a mail from the author inviting her to meet him in Amsterdam.
Thereafter, Augustus led her to Amsterdam. So eventually, Hazel met her favorite author, Peter Van Houten. Augustus and Hazel fell in love. They enjoyed life despite the fear of death.
